At Messiah Baptist Church, we are a Bible believing church. On May 7, 1848 in the woods one mile east of Kylertown, Pennsylvania a group of early settlers from the area of Kylertown organized the Third District Sunday School, which lead to the beginning of Messiah Baptist Church. The Old Church was completed December 30 1856, and the first meeting was held December 31, 1856. The congregation grew and the church services were overcrowded, and on November 8, 1959 the congregation moved across the road to the New Messiah Baptist Church. The new building was a blessing with the addition of modern conveniences. Many pastors have come and gone, many children have been taught in Sunday School, many souls have found the Lord in the 103 years the church was used for worship. The Old Church is currently used for our fellowship and activites.

Messiah desires to be a lighthouse in the community of Kylertown and surrounding areas. We give the Lord glory and honor and praise for all that He is accomplishing with in Messiah Baptist Church. From senior saints to young adults, from teens to the smallest child, we are a family-oriented church that would love for you to visit and worship with us this Sunday!
