Dr. Shawley and his Wife Karen have served at Flat Top Baptist Church-Flat Top West Virginia, West Jackson Baptist Church (As Missionaries)-Millerton PA, and Grace Baptist Church-Seneca PA before coming to Messiah in 2008.
Dr. Shawley has obtained a Bachelor of Arts; Master of Divinity; Doctorate of Ministry in Bible/Theology/Christian Counseling. Graduate of Appalachian Bible College and Bible Baptist College Seminary. Dr. Shawley is also ordained as a Chaplain and has served in Prison Ministry .
Dr. Shawley is a member of the PARBC (Pennsylvania Association of Regular Baptist Churches) a fellowship of over eighty churches across the state of Pennsylvania. He has served as a member of the Council of Ten and is currently serving as the PARBC Treasurer.
Mrs. Shawley has obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education and is a Board Certified Christian Counselor. She also has vast experience in youth education.
Some of Mrs. Shawley's duties within the Church are Christian Counseling, working with the youth, Leader of the Choir, Provides the music for Sunday Worship and is the Church Secretary.
The Shawley's have Seven Children, Nine Grandchildren and Two Great Grandchildren.
